Default Critter in the attic

Looks like we got a critter in our attic, The Admiral woke me and we both heard the sound of little feet over our heads.

Looking for recommendations for pest removal.

Thanks

Had that problem at another house. I figured that the visitors would leave the hot Florida attic during the day to eat and drink so after finding the access point under and overhang I waited for the, what turned out to be 2 squirrel to go to lunch and I sealed the access hole.

hear it all the time and it might be a rat, only at night could be a squirrel, or is it the other way around. One is more active al the time than the other.

I wish you better luck than I had many years ago in South Florida. My little feet turned out to be a Skunk. This type of skunk is sometimes called a Florida Civic cat and is much smaller than a reg. skunk and smells just as bad. I set a trap to catch it and did but he got out before I could remove it the next morning. He was smart enough to not get into the trap again so I needed to build a new trap that he didn't recognize. My new trap worked but when it went off he sprayed the attic and the whole house smelled of skunk. After removing him I went to the local grocery store and bought them out of air fresheners. I have no idea how he got in there or what he ate, but it was a terrible experience.

Looks like we got Flying squirrels. Entered thru the screening under the vent domes.

Another though after our critter invasion.

A real heads up for all the snow birds-make sure your house is critter proof. If your house gets invaded by a rat, squirrel , etc. in your attic, while your away, you will have a real problem when you get back.

Also , ask your home watch person to inspect the attic on a periodic basis.

In Michigan long, long ago, a chipmunk came in through a walkout-level window and took up residence under our teenage son's bed. Eventually the smell caused him to clean up his room. I do not recommend this method of room-cleaning encouragement.

Just a little off-topic Christmas Story...

Well, you posted on another thread that you always pack your heat! Set up a perimeter, walk your post, and blast the critters away!
