Default Crossword Puzzle

I look forward to the Sunday puzzle in the local newspaper. But today was disappointing as it was printed with no numbers in the squares to correspond with the clues. But…and here’s the kicker…Not only that, but the answers were printed in the squares!!! Geez…somebody really messed up. It’s on page E8.
I know the next page always has another crossword puzzle…but it’s a different kind. And it is not one I enjoy doing.
Wondering if anyone else saw this anomaly!
Just venting over here.

Ours was single bagged and soaking wet. Funny thing, our recent paper with carriers name and address for the Holidays was dry. Disappointed with the puzzle but that probably won't happen again for awhile.

Big Sunday Crossword already filled in! HOW DISAPPOINTING! We, along with many others I'm sure, wait all week for this particular treat.
Honestly, how can this happen? Type errors, punctuation errors, and grammatical errors, happen way more than they probably should. Reliance on auto-(in)correct is surely to blame in some cases. But I often wonder if anyone (as in "a real live and capable human being) actually reads and checks what they have prepared BEFORE they spend time and money to print it.

And for any conspiracy theorists, maybe it's AI thinking it is saving us the trouble of having to go to the trouble of having to figure it out.

we use the NYT cross word puzzle app, (free) and there are as many puzzles as you want to solve available. . . much better than waiting on the paper for the puzzle availability. Ever tried to create a puzzle yourself? Try that sometime, just for fun

Just a little something to look forward to. Like Christmas morning, or your birthday or vacation. Anticipation makes things kind of special. Having everything all the time makes life kind of boring.

We do a puzzle a night at bed time, and its from the USA Today paper, not the NYT, sorry about that. So the anticipation is still there, just an electronic one, as we are mostly digital in this house since about 2000. I still have my original issued check from 2000, as I only use about 1-2 a year, if that.

not sure how I can relate a cross word puzzle anticipation to a birthday or Christmas. . but to each his/her uniqueness

Yes I saw that new error where they eliminated the last few clues. I was going to send an email to complain, but decided it would be just wasting my time. Hope they get next Sunday’s correct. Geez!

OK. How about anticipation for that first cup of coffee in the morning. Or some small treat you only get once a week? The Sunday puzzle is something my wife enjoys along with something special for breakfast. If it is missing it is a disappointment, albeit a small one.

There are lots of sources of cross word puzzles online.

Some of the ones I have taken on FunTrivia are rather hard.
