Don't forget you can also add free tv and movie apps to supplement your others tons of them out there but I use Pluto, it has live tv as well as streaming stuff. IMDB TV is also decent.

Try suppose.tv/tv
It allows you to pick your channels of interest, mark the must haves and then gives you a list of suppliers (Hulu, Sling, AppleTV, .....) that would meet your needs along with an estimated monthly cost. Just remember to add the cost of internet to their number.

Recording on YouTube tv is a piece of cake. Go to search tab to find what you want to record, add it to your library and just go to library tab to find all the programs/recordings you’ve added. They are saved in the cloud so they don’t go away EVER and doesn’t take up your storage space. There is a learning curve when you switch but less than a week and well worth it. And being able to have multiple locations on the same account is awesome for us snowbirds!

We, too, are snowbirds and found YouTube TV to be the best solution for TV programming in both our homes. We were able to save approx. $120/month.
Youtubetv does take a few days to get used to depending on what you were using before, but we tried free trials for several services, and found this to be the best for DVR functionality, tracking watched shows, large channel offering, and more. A couple other apps we use and recommend:[*]Discovery+ (Discovery, TLC, Animal Planet, Food Network, HGTV, ID, A&E, History, Lifetime, Travel, Science Network, & more on demand programming without ads) $4.99/mo.[*]Paramount + (CBS, Smithsonian & others on demand programming without ads) $9,99/mo.[*]Amazon Prime (Included with PRIME membership) |

We cut the cable years ago, except for internet.
We have Amazon Prime(more for shopping than TV), and we have ROKU boxes. They connect to the internet and from there we stream. Along with Prime, we have Sling, Tubi, IMDB and Pure Flix. With that we can get most everything we need. If you must have local channels just ask Xfinity for the very basic. If you need to record things then get a TiVo box. By the way Sling TV has a record function. |

I'm not an authority on all the options, but my experience with YouTube TV is as follows:
1. Can connect up to 6 devices ... we have some in Florida and some in another state with the same account. 2. Reception is good and offers a broad range of channels 3. Cost is just over $70/month .... not cheap but better than some. 4. Depends of course on a good wifi signal.... Overall ... recommend it. |

Depending where you live and what service is available to you, we have 1000m/b internet service from Century Link, $65mo for life, no tax. We have you tube TV (have had it for 3 years) $65/mo plus tax. All DVR unlimited, HD and nearly every network you could imagine and then some

I know it is expensive, $130 down here and $300 up in MA but it is so easy. Wifi is on and you turn on the tv and my shows come on. I know what channels I want and when and that is it.

I wonder if putting a little aluminum foil on a set of rabbit ears would work down here?

You said it exactly right, an antenna! It always works, never have to depend on any cable company to repair any after waiting 2 or 3 days.

We have 4 TVs. To make them “standard” to use for my husband, I purchased and installed a Roku on each TV. Easy to install and comes with valuable free programming and search options. |
