Many of the executive courses also have practice putting greens. You are sure to find one near your home.

I am nowhere near an executive course - live south of 44 and the closest is Lowlands (about 8 miles by golf cart - have to go up to Water Lily and then back south) or Palmetto (about 10 miles by golf cart). However, I will be very close to Southern Oaks (less than .5 miles) once it opens so I hope I can use the practice green there!

Yes you can, but if you utilize the c.c. putting greens try to dress appropriately(no tank tops, swim trunks-likely no one will say anything, but they might). As for sarasota practice areas(driving range, putting, chipping and bunker areas across Moyer Loop)they no longer have a dress code.

I believe you are in error with the above statement.

Golf The Villages

“The following dress code is for all championship and executive golf courses, The Villages Golf Academy, driving ranges, warm-up nets and putting greens.
The acceptable golf attire includes, but is not limited to, the below:

Shoes must be worn at all times when on the golf courses. Tennis or golf shoes with soft spikes, or shoes with no more than a 1-inch heel, are mandatory.
Shorts or skirts must cover the majority of the thigh and may not be cut-off or have holes.
Denim pants are allowed.
No overall, tennis skirts, cut-offs, biking shorts, bathing suits or athletic exercise apparel.

Dress Code for Women
Fashion golf tops may be without a collar but should not expose the stomach and must have straps at least 2-inches wide.

Dress Code for Men
Shirts shall have a collar and sleeves. Turtle-necks or mock turtle-necks are acceptable. (Min. 1/4 inch collars.)”

There are five executive courses south of 44 and one pitch-and-putt course.

No executive courses. They are putting in a putting course and a pitch and putt course. This is for 10 Villages. They are Chitty Chatty, Bradford, St. Catherine, Hawkins, Cason Hammock, Citrus Grove, Richmond, St. John, and two Villages that are on the drawing board

All of them are south of the Turnpike. Grey Fox is 13 miles by golf cart and 7 by car.

When I was injured a few years back I went from putting green to putting green. Tons of them, all different. Shame it didn't help my putting.

Relax a little, and realize good things are coming. There are several new courses, both championship and executive, coming in the new areas south of the Turnpike. When the new Bexley/Southern Oaks bridge is completed, a whole new golf world will unveil itself. I am also south of SR44, but can be at any of at least 8 golf courses in 20 minutes or less by golf car. To me, that is not inconvenient.
