Default Who is the best disabled golf instructor and other stuff?

You can shame me, but my military disability is a head injury, and I have special needs. Outside appearance thanks to the VA surgeons did wonders (they didn't help with the weight though).

I want to golf, and I want to learn. My problems mentally are an ability to follow maps, seeing distances, and memory. I have also had injuries to my back, shoulder, ankles and neck. But I am head-strong!!!!

I have been an athlete all my life and I want to be a part of the community. Other than being younger than many (no, I do not work at Publix's however of you see me and need to find something I will go out of my way to help).

I may need someone special? Is there anyone that can be recommended or is this beyond the forums.

Because of the shoulder, without another surgery, I may be driving as a leftie, and putting as a righty.

Also, do I need a single person golf cart?

I will say the military (VA) takes care of me, and I am very competitive. I may take classes daily for 2 months.

My background, I grew up on a golf course.

Lastly, should I buy a single person golf cart so I get go to areas that are closer to my ball?

Golfers, I would love to get feedback, and be mean if needed, I am learning and thick skinned, I am have been through more than words.

All love, and the pic in a avatar is my poodle on the flight, she sits on my lap during flights.

Each of the Country Clubs have available for rent a "solo rider" adapted for use by handicapped individuals (they can also be used on the Executive courses). And, I am sure The Villages Golf Academy ( @ Palmer Legends 352-259-8121) can hook you up with an instructor. Since Palmer also has a driving range, you should call or go there, explain what you are looking for and ask to try out a Solo Rider. Good luck!!
