he obviously was drunk at the time and making a poor attempt to justify his drinking! the actual published guesstimate is 0.7% or 700 out of 100,000 and that number is averaged for any time of day so tell your 'law enforcement' friend to sober up!

So let me propose a new business model: The country clubs should change their happy hour from 11AM-7PM to 4AM-11AM

I have a very hard time believing that.

Years ago I couldn't believe there were actually cars at some of our bars 8:00 am near where I lived.
Then I started working the midnight shift getting out of work at 7:00 am. Sometimes a group of us would go out to the bar after work. I was now one of those cars in the bar parking lot at 8:00 am. :icon_wink:

I thought your face looked familiar. I use to hang out in a bar in Troy, Hazel Park, Harbor Beach, Grand Rapids, Michigan at 8 am.

:1rotfl: Only Troy at 8:00 am, that's when I was younger. :icon_wink:

One other aspect is much of the activities here is fashioned around drinking. Look at the squares. All the bar/restaurants and the beer house. The other thing is people think they are exempt from the law in a golf cart. Stop selling booze at the beer shacks and alot of the drinking at the squares would stop. But economics is the rule.

In your scenario, would the "beer shacks" still sell wine and beer?

In keeping with the intent of this Thread, it has been suggested from time to time that we hold the Crispers event somewhere licensed so people can order a drink. At 3 PM? Well, it's always 5 o'clock somewhere.
All TOTV get-togethers are held the third Friday of the month at 3 PM at Crispers in Southern Trace Plaza. I think there is one today. So that would make it November 20. See you there?

By the way, I mispoke, the US Government refers to Canadians as aliens, but NOT illegal aliens. My bad.

I wish I could. I have a wedding to go to OOT. Maybe December?

By the way, if you were illegal, no sweat - we don't deport anybody here. :jester:

Goerge Jones (great singer) lived in Lakeland Fla for a short period with wife Tammy Wynette and he was banned from most bars..lost his license so he'd drive his tractor to town..
