I agree.
While I'm not a fan of the lightweight news they publish, they get big kudos from me...for even bothering to publish today. |

I am completely satisfied with the Daily Sun for meeting my expectations with respect to their product. I applaude their effort to get out a paper under very difficult conditions. I will withhold the kudos for execution as no one on my street received their paper. They should have simply said " we are going to print a paper and deliver to as many customers possible under the circumstances. We apologize in advance to those who may not receive a paper due to the extenuating circumstances".
And no, I am not going to call them to ask why I did not get a paper. I get it!

Refreshing to read a post that looks at the positive versus from an "entitlement" position. Nice job!

We did get a paper when I checked at 8:00pm. I mainly wanted to the paper today for coverage of the NFL, you wouldn't of known they played any games yesterday. All it covered were the college games on Saturday and some coverage of the Colin Montgomery winning a senior tournament in Japan.
Overall, it's the thinnest paper I've ever seen except for the POA that's delivered in the driveway. Then I noticed all the big display ads, the usual country club eats, and the doctors, dentist and lawyers. Then I realized why they needed to get the paper out. The Daily Sun's income of course all comes from advertising, another day of billing. |

received our paper around 3:00PM.
It cause me to reflect on a time when many newspapers had both morning and afternoon editions. Now with digital, etc its 24/7 hyperbolic, manic nothingness |

I had completely forgotten the morning and afternoon editions of The Baltimore Sun. Thanks for triggering my brain. |

I grew up in St. Petersburg and the Evening Independent was published until 1983. If the sun didn't shine for 24 hours the paper was free, even at the racks.
