Default Dairy Queen??

I won a gift card for Dairy Queen and I know the one in Southern Trace closed but I thought I saw one the other day on 441 near Chili's. Does anyone know if there is one there or anywhere near the Villages? I went to their website to see but there wasn't one listed but maybe there is a new one that hasn't made the website yet.

Please let me know what you find out. I always have a Buster Bar Parfait On my birthday. Hope I don't have to go to Orlando, but I will.

There is a DQ at exit 341 off Route 75

There probably isn't one in TV. If there were, you would be reading the complaints on TOTV! <kidding> <ducking for cover>

Google Maps shows:
Dairy Queen Brazier
2020 SW County Hwy 484
Ocala, FL 34473

Not real close, but a lot closer then Orlando.

The DQ that I always stop at is halfway to Ocala on I-75. It's the exit that has Don Garlits Museum on the right, and the shopping with the golf shoes and bag outlet on the left. It's exit 341, get off westbound, after you cross over the interstate, turn left into the big gas station, DQ is in the station along with a Wendy's. If you're in the north end of TV, then go north on Hwy 301 and turn left on 484, you'll probably see signs directing you to I-75 at that intersection.

Nice! You've found a bunch of good stores. Thanks.

According to the DQ website the closest one is in Mount Dora:

2590 W OLD US HWY 441

Hope this helps.

We miss having a "local" DQ.

When we first moved here in 2004 there were two of them here in TV. One on 466 and one on 441. Over the years they both closed up shop. There was not much chatter around about why they closed their doors.

The othe ice cream venues seem to be working out over time. And one would think a DQ could/would do well here.

That's gas station DQ, only Ice cream and hot dogs.

Goggle shows one in. Silver springs (east side of Ocala) and mt Dora which maybe be full service DQ? Probably closest to the villages for full menu? Newly built DQ IMO are really better than the old ones.

Many Villagers were surprised that the Dairy Queen closed several years ago. There were rumors regarding the franchise but never did hear anything for certain why they closed in the area.

While in Illinois during the summer, we visit our local Dairy Queen at least once a week. Actually, I think their burger is pretty good. A good managed Dairy Queen would do well in TV.

Dairy Queen in silver springs and mt Dora are both full service. Food and ice cream. Love their burgers too.

We could use a DQ down here near 466a.
