I'll be down Nov 22 to Nov 30th. Then again Dec 22 to Jan 3rd. Then not until spring break as I can only come down during school breaks. Hoping this is my last Ohio winter but depends on the economy!

uujudy, wow 10 days in the car with 2 kitties, good luck, as far as the gas shortages yes Ive heard Chattanoga and Atlanta have shortages. My suggestion would be once you get near the southeast that you fill up when you get near 1/4 tank left that way if you run into a shortage area you should have 75 - 100 miles left in the tank til you find more gas.

mulligan, you'll be happy to know with the present economy the 50 cent tour now only costs 40 cents.

Hey Ronda

Thank you our Ronda, you are always so positive!! It is so nice to learn that someone is looking forward to the return of the Snowbirds. I know that many Frogs dread the return of the Snowbirds as we fill up the streets, dance riotiously in the squares, jam up the restaurants, laugh too loud, take all the good tee times, drink all the happy hour doubles, whoooo .... what can I say, here we all come.

Can you hear my wings beating? It's a long way to fly from Canada.

We will be in 10/09 thru 10/18 and will try to do Crispers (depends on my nearby daughter's plans). And again 1/12/09 thru 3/15/09 to unload furniture and spend the longest time yet!

Hope to sell our house in Norcal next summer and hang it up late next year (two years later than planned, being a contractor I am used to finishing a job late).

Golfnut, I don't know which part worries me more... the kitties in the car or the gas shortage. Thanks for the good idea on filling up at 1/4 of a tank. I'll tell you about the time we ran out of gas in the Nevada desert. That was another memorable road trip.

Hope to meet everybody at Crispers! I'll be the one with bloody scratches all over my body.

Cathi and I just ran 1500 miles from Fla to RI and did not see any gas shortages at all. Seems to be mainly in the large metropolitan areas. We were careful to fill up every time we got to half a tank.
