Default Day Trips

I want to take three or four day trips this month. What do you recommend?

If you like art museums, The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum, in Winter Park, FL can't be beat! The Tiffany collection is breathtaking. Winter Park has a pretty cool downtown area, also. :-)

1. Go on one of the many river cruises offered within a 50 mile radius of TV
2. Same for airboat ride
3. Tarpon Springs
4. Go to one of the many springs....Rainbow, Alexander, Ichnetucknee, etc
5. Go for a sea plane ride in Tavares
6. Go for a ride on the Orange Blossom Special between Tavares and Mt. Dora
7. Catch an mlb game in St. Pete
8. Look in this Sundays travel section. Senior tours and AAA offer day trips
9. Go to the Dali Museum in St. Pete

Villages transportation lists day trips on their website. The learning college also has day trips.

Dali Museum in St. Pete is interesting, even down to the unusual architecture of the building itself. Across the street from it is an airport with a very nice restaurant. We take visitors there for lunch and then go to the Museum.

Winter Park is a neat town. Along with the museum, there is a boat ride on the chain of lakes.

Anastasia Beach.....St. Augustine. Stay overnight and enjoy a GREAT restaurant steps from the beach.....do it cheap and hang out out at Sunset Grille across the street. Castillo Real first choice...the best hotel and restaurant.

The wife and I want to Homosassa Springs State Park recently. Had a great time. Beautiful and lots of animals. Here's a link to some photos if you're interested...
