I've never seen one, but I guess just about anything's possible here.

I don't think there are all that many deer in Florida that we are overrun with them like in the Northeast. I Googled it and found there are deer in heavily forested areas and some in the Keys but not a lot in Central Florida. I've never seen a "deer crossing" sign in Florida.

Yes, there is a good supply of deer in Florida, and as close as Rt. 44 west of 301.
Take a ride there at night and you probably will see them along the side of the road.

No, and we probably don't want any. In our Milwaukee suburb the deer were known as rats with long legs and antlers. Each January the city contracted to have 200 baited and killed to try and keep things in check. Even then there were 150 - 175 car/deer hits each year. The large deer heard attracted a large coyote pack. Let me tell you it is not a happy start to the day when you have to clean up a coyote kill in your front lawn before going off to work in the morning. Or, having groups of 3 or 4 coyotes wandering through the neighborhood at each dawn and dusk.

Yes we do! A couple of years ago my husband and I were in our golf cart coming home at about 9:00 PM. Right ahead of us a huge deer ran across the road. If we were a little closer I'm sure it would have taken us out in our golf cart because it would have hit us broad side. I have not seen one since then. By the way no we were not drinking that night so yes we really did see it! Ha Ha

Just last week, Tommy Mara (Tommy Mara and The Crests) said he hit a deer while driving home in Hudson, which is not very far from The Villages. It did a lot of damage to his car - and also to the deer.

So, yes, there are quite a few deer around here.

Yes to all the above, and coyotes as well! We had one in the back yard a few weeks ago.

There is not enough woods for cover for many deer in The Villages. They are lovely to see but from reading above, would attract unwanted predators and we would probably scare them to death.
