Default Comcast TV...another problem

Comcast TV down, internet fine. After spending 52 min with help person they are sending a tech person to fix...on Thursday afternoon...4 days from now. Unacceptable.

I am assuming that you have tried resetting everything, but if not, try this. power your modem off for at least 60 seconds, do the same with the DVR. Turn everything on, sit back (with your favorite glass of wine, or liquor), wait several minutes. The modem should come back first, with all the appropriate lights. You should get some messages from the DVR indicating it is rebooting. Then you should get you TV stations back, the guide may take an additional 10 to 15 minutes. I have had to do this a few times. NOTE: if the internet is down, your X1 DVR is dead in the water.
Hope this helps.

Unacceptable? Time to get a different service?

Comcast is terrible to deal with. I've had service since Sept. Had to make at least 2 calls per month. Bills messed up. Service not working..Misinformation when I call. Went on Auto pay and they still tried to charge me for late pay which they take out automatically. Auto calls that you can't respond to.
Another bad experience and I'm ditching this company. Took four days to get a tech appointment and I"m still waiting for them as I type. I wish I could talk to a rep from that company that was actually trained in the English language

Push button A on your remote and try restart. Wait while the unit resets itself. Most issues can be dealt with by either rebooting like tinker says or trying this method. You're still allowed to complain about Comcast but you just might not have to wait four days.

I have yet to hear of a cable/internet/cell phone provider...that someone hasn't had complaints about.

While not enthralled with Comcast myself, the problems have been relatively infrequent and until I hear of a provider that has never had problems...I'll just muddle through and do the occasional griping.
