Default Just couldn't wait...

I was up for the weekend on my SO birthday to check on my lot and just couldn't wait any longer. Signed our contract today. Closing is Oct 01.

I do have this house under contract and I know it would be smarter to wait until it closed to sign up but....

Life is short. TV, here we come.

Thanks for all the post and information around here.

Carl

Good for you Carl --Where did you buy ?

We bought a lot in Buttonwood in June --Waiting for the buyers to sign a contract here on my home ---Wife and I "discussed" options about ordering our new home ---I lost !!!!

We will wait for the closing here and then rent something in TV and watch our home being built ---

Good Luck

We sent our stuff down there in a POD 3 days before we signed. The deal fell through and now were stuck with no furniture and belongings.

Thanks Everyone. Sorry about that Pats2010. I too fear the dreaded busted contract. I wanted to do the rent a place and watch the build but... Just couldn't wait it out.

If.... big IF..... everything works out, only be "homeless" for 2 weeks. We bought a lot in Buttonwood on Chancey Way (that's me!) back in March. Been itchin' to make the move.

Congratulations Askcarl!! Like you, we couldn't wait either. We put a deposit on land in March, planning to build at the end of the year. Got a call from our salesman telling us that prices were going up the next day and again in a couple of weeks after that, so BAM!, we did it! We won't be putting up our present house for sale until the first of the year so we jumped the gun too. TV is where we want to be so we decided to do it and take our chances. Hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Have you decided what your building? Maybe we'll meet at the pool one day.

Building the GarZilla.... Gardenia with every stretch. Started out just looking at a base model on a small lot. Agent took us out to the west edge of the Villaverse and we just loved the Oak trees at the end of Buttonwood Run and Chancey Way. Well... Kind of like eating salty peanuts. Couldn't quit.

Just talked SO into a recon trip on the 30th. WoOt!
