Default Designer For Sale

We are about to sell our designer home in the village of Tall Trees and are undecided about giving the listing to a Village salesperson or go to an outside MLS agency. I've heard that The Village sales push new construction and hold back on the preowned yet they probably get the most traffic. Decisions, decisions... I would appreciate feedback. Thanks

Why not tell us on TOTV about it first and maybe you'll make a sale right here. You could always get some pics and post them or if you'd prefer you could e-mail them to those that were interested.

I think from my experience at looking at homes that I look 10 times more at VLS houses than MLS. Seems like the inventory moves a lot faster.

Hi Duffysmom,
Are you buying another home in TV?

When we purchased, we used a VLS and MLS agent. VLS did steer us more toward new. We ultimately purchased from an MLS agent, who worked very hard to help us find what we were looking for. I'll PM you her contact info in case you might be interested.

Best wishes!

We just listed with a MLS company. We like the idea that they list our home in the Daily Sun every day until it is sold.

Default Vls

We are new to TV and only been here for two weeks but used a realtor from the Villages Sales office and he was wonderful. Listened to what we wanted and he did not steer us toward new construction. I was very pleased with TV Sales Office.

I'm not sure. I think TV pushes new, that's their construction business, the bread and butter. But, most people end up checking both. Best wishes.

We worked with TV sales and never had them push new over old and we visited four times each was the same.

Based on experience buying and selling, I would use TV VLS to sell my home. Both have pro's and con's like anything else, but I would use them again.

Default New vs Old

I know when we looked for a new home... we had already decided on a resale.... We used both a MLS and VLS agent. When we laid down are particulars.... the Villages agent just showed us what we were looking for... did not pressure us to look at new....

I think most buyers make a decision as to new or resale prior to doing their search.

Default Listed with TV

Thanks for all the great comments. We have listed our property with The Villages and heard some interesting statistics. Evidentially, TV sales are the highest from April to November and there are currently 1400 renters enjoying our chilly weather. Who knew...
