looking over warranty info and the makers of Allstar MVP garage door opener advises the motor is warranted for 20 years -- my motor went out and i cannot call them -- called romac and they do not know anything about this warranty - we are original owners -- also the villages home services could not help --

You are better off getting another opener anyway. The Allstar MVP is a LOUD opener. Besides that, if you have documentation that there's a 20 year warranty, bring it to Romac on Rolling Acres Road and show them.

Romac installed it so they should be honoring the warranty. But of course they want to soak you for a service call and charge for the removal and installation of the new motor.
Probably better off in the long run to buy a quality opener. If you are handy remove the head unit and bring it into Romac with the warranty. Linear is the manufacturer try calling them

Agreed. We purchased a Craftsman (manufactured by Chamberlain) and arranged for Lowe's installer (local garage door opener company) for a lot less than quotes from the same company. So far, so good.

I have 2 complete MVP motor units (housing, circuit boards, motor, etc.) make an offer and one or both can be yours. These were both operational when removed from service, and were removed to be replaced with quieter belt driven units.
