Default 50 Things to Think About Before Buying a Home in The Villages

As I was surfing the web this AM, I came across this paper titled:
50 Things to Think About Before Buying a Home in The Villages, by Parker Sykes
I went back and looked to see if folks already knew of this, but did not find any reference, so I figured I would share. Sorry if this is old news, it was not for me. I also have yet to read the whole thing, but seems to have many of the items hashed out on TOTV.

You always give good information. More to read, I've never heard of this 68 page writing, so here I go. Thanks again.

That was absolutely the best and most informative and accurate article on TV that I have ever read. It could be used to settle most of the disagreements we come across on TOTV!

How do I get it so it is easier to read? Should I print it out?

Is Parker Sykes a poster on here?

I have to go golfing now, and only read a few pages, so please do not spoil the ending

You can actually thank TOTV user paulandjean. I was once again giving Google the wrong keywords to find out the name of the Michigan to ASU football coach that lived in TV and found the paper ....

I am not sure on how to make it easier to read. I have a larger monitor , so it is not so bad...

My quick research says that Mr Sykes is a villager.....

Underneath the picture on the first page is a link so you can download it as a pdf. You can then make it larger or smaller for viewing or printing.

These are questions that can be asked almost anywhere whether in TV, FL or another state.
All things that you can ponder.
We moved from MI in 2004 to Winter Park and thought we were moving there forever.
Then we visited TV ONCE and bought a lot and built our home.
Been here since June 2012 and no regrets.
Our renters in WP are leaving so we could move back after trying TV.
NO WAY.
Relisted it and staying here.

Before I visited The Villages in 2011 I found the predecessor to this questionnaire on the internet and printed it out. I still have it on file. It was very helpful to me in thinking over my retirement plans in general as well as considering The Villages in particular. It is the best preretirement checklist I have come across.

By the way, Mr. Parker Sykes does exist. Thank you Mr. Sykes.

Well thought out easy read. Seems to take a middle of the road and present both sides of most concerns. Nothing will be a surprise to those who already live here. Even covers dog poop and round-abouts.
