Default Question for Jasmine owners

Hello TOTV forum members,

Since we are one small step closer to becoming villagers, I have some questions. What type of stretches can be done to the Jasmine model? Is it possible to put a 2' stretch down the middle of the kitchen, dining and living area? If the lot provides, are you able to stretch the sides and back of the house?

Thanks in advance.

We built a Jasmine with bumped out front and back. Also garage is as large as they will make it. I think an extra 4 feet deep. At the time it was the biggest Jasmine available. I am sure they will provide all the info you need. It did require a larger lot.

My first suggestion would be for you to talk to one of the villages sales reps. We used Gregory J. Hudak. I would not hesitate to recommend him as we were more than pleased with his service to us. Short answer is, yes, you can in some cases expand the footprint. We have a Wisteria II which is the same floorplan of the Jasmine but it is expanded and is wood frame instead of brick (stucco). The Villages is always upgrading and changing home models so I would highly encourage you to contact them. We love it here!

Alaska,

Thank you for all your help. We have been to the Villages 4 times over the past several years, and we also love the Villages. Hope to eventually be frogs in the near future.

Default Jasmine

I stretched the garage 4 ft on the side 2 feet foward, whole back of houe 2 feet, bay window to front office. You can stretch the office room 2 feet besides the bay window. Salesperson told me the other day at an open house u can know stretch the whole side of the house 2 feet. No stretch in the middle.

Thanks skip0358,

Decissions sure are difficult. I was hoping they would allow the stretch down the middle.
I want to keep the cherry dining table that my husband made. I love the model, just wish the dining area was wider. I'm having a hard time accepting we can't make the changes I would like. My husband is a semi-retired builder, and I know changes can be made, just not in the Villages.
I sure appreciate your help.

Thanks golfnut. We plan on looking at the new models and bringing measurements of furniture items when we return for a visit. Since the Jasmine model was one we did not look at before, I just wanted to know if changes could be made. It always helps to get advice from others.

We purchased a resale stretched Jasmine because we liked the view lot. The garage is very, very large, which Fireboy loves. I felt we needed a bit more space, so we added a huge birdcage and a zen garden. Now we love our Jasmine. I can hardly wait to get back to TV!

We bought a spec Jasmine that was sitting in Pennecamp for a closeout. This one had the 2 foot extension in the back, 2 foot extension in the front #3 bedroom plus the bay window, and a wider garage for a golf car space. It is rated at 1707 sq ft under air. I don't think that there are any other options, except maybe a full golf car garage extension. Also, I have been told that they aren't building the Jasmine any more.

Hi Barefoot,

I could not agree more about the room in the garage. I also like the laundry room. I just need more room for my dining room table. Your zen garden and the large birdcage would definitely be a wonderful addition.
Thanks for sharing.
