Default Has anyone used the Villages Airport Van recently?

My friend is flying in on Thursday and a couple of years ago had taken the Airport Van and was not a fan, due to many stops and it taking FOREVER to get to my house. I have read here occasionally, that the Airport Van routes have gotten streamlined and the number of stops is better than it used to be. Her flight gets is at just about the same time as the Villages Van that drops off in Sumter Landing and the next van doesn't leave for two hours. I'd rather she wasn't waiting around for that.

What say ye? Better? Or, not?

TheVillages Transportation is by far the best. Big comfortable bus, and non stop between TV and the airport. Multiple trips every day.

I agree. Used them a few months ago and all went smoothly, and no stops.

Stopped using them because they always picked us up first because we are north and then dropped us off last because we are north?? Dropped off people even further north then we are before us.
Last driver was texting while on 528 to turnpike and was very arrogant.

Depends on which airport. If Orlando and not Stanford I would just use village transportation as stated above. Course that means you will have to pickup your friend?

Just used them a few weeks ago (both to and from Orlando airport). Great service from making reservations to travel. No stops. Direct service from Lake Sumpter to and from the airport. On time as scheduled. I was impressed and wouldn't hesitate using them again.

I like the villages airport van better because they will pick you up at your house and bring you back and drop you off at your house. To me that is better than having to make arrangements to get to and from Sumter Landing.

Village transportation will also pick you up at home and take you home from Sumter Landing for a small charge.

I fly in on Delta on November 1st. I've already paid the $35. Now Delta has changed my flight and I arrive at 1:30 in Orlando. That is an hour earlier than I told them. Guess I'll need to call them...first time doing this! I will need to get our guest passes and a cab? to our villa?

Just call them. They are so big now I think they have a van leaving MCO every half hour. How will you be getting around once you get here? Is renting a car from the airport an option?

There are two villages shuttles. One with 'The Villages' logo and one without. Only "The Villages" Logo meets at Sumter Landing. The other only picks you up at your home. The Villages logo will pick you up at your home in a different car and bring you to Sumter Landing and is $5 more expensive than the non-logo all in. They both use a vehicle large enough of the people that reserved a seat.

Don't forget to tip!

Used them last month back and forth from Orlando Airport and everything was great. Both drivers were awesome.
