Talking You Meet The Nicest People In A Honda?

Remember the Honda commercial 15-20 years ago? You meet the nicest people in a Honda!!! May be true in some environments but not on the cart path. I was on a bike the other day and as I approached the Sweetbay Market (I think that's the name of it) low & behold a red Accord is approaching me. The fellow said "Yeah I know"! I laughed and watched him back into the parking lot. Just glad I didn't wind up as his hood ornament.

That cart path has suckered several people...about a month ago I was in my golf cart approaching the Sweet Bay parking lot and a large black SUV was coming at me. They were embarassed and backed up. But, I can say (unfortunatley from my own mistake when I was new here), if you are in the Sweet Bay parking lot and want to go south on Morse, you can see Morse and that path looks like an entrance ramp to it. It should be a simple solution to just put up one of those plastic posts with the "Carts Only" on it there.

This happened to me two times while visiting in May! This must be a pretty dangerous spot. I think many folks don't notice little signs on posts. Perhaps an additional warning would be to paint GOLF CARTS ONLY on the ground in bold/bright letters at the start of the path.

On two occasions I've seen cars on the multi-modal paths. Once over by Palm Ridge Plaza, and another north of Parr Drive heading for the tunnel under 466.

It is pretty scary and the drivers are often completely unaware of their error. In both cases the cars were waved down by people in golf carts and told to back up!

I believe the phrase was "You meet the nicest people 'ON' a Honda." It was a commercial for their motorcycles.
