Wish me luck.
Yes, a nightmare of chaos!

Sorry your wife was refused a shot. My wife and I got both our shots at GMR and found them to be very courteous and caring. Did you tell the whole story?

GMR operations on the ground seem to get good marks for doing a good job.

Thus far, for many, they have not done so well on the simplest of appointment communications.

I also had my first shot at GMR and also found it to be a positive experience.
I would like to know GMR’s side before making judgement!

Mary and I registered with Sumter GMR. along with 20 Neighbors. Jan 13th and 14th. We all were notified and received our shots on Feb 20th thru Mar 4th. They were very efficient polite and kind. All of us spent less than an hour from start to finish. We were given our next appointment date and time while we were there. The second shot location has changed, but it was reported on the "Front Page" of the paper numerous times. We get our second shot next week at St Vincent's. We didn't need to be notified in person. We're sorry everyone is having so much trouble. I guess we were just lucky.

The Doctor asks an important question that I don't think has been addressed. My wife who is 64 got an email this morning giving her the second step code and she was able to schedule a first shot appointment this morning. We knew that the Governor was planning on lowering the age limit to 60 soon and we assumed that might have happened over the weekend and the news sources just hadn't picked up on it yet. So we went and were told (politely) that she was not yet eligible but they could not explain why she had been given the scheduling code if she could not yet get the shot. The best answer we got was that it was an "IT" problem. We saw several other cars being sent down the escape road so I don't think we were the only ones to run into this. The car ahead of us I was able to confirm had the same issue. Not sure how to get back into the queue with GMR now once the age limit is lowered. WESH NBC is reporting that the Gov. plans to do this next week.

Some sites will have a physician, NP or pharmacist on site. Not all have someone available. This is a new process and there are bound to be bumps in the road. Be patient as things evolve.

I'm sure the staff was commendable but the GMR communication is severely lacking.

They must have a good supply of vaccine in order to schedule that many people!

Approximately 30 of our friends got their shots at Lake Square Mall. Everyone of them received a card with their 2nd dose, date and time on it. They have all went back and got their 2nd shot on the day assigned to them. All- in and out in 45mins. Sorry that you seem to have fallen thru the cracks. We went to GMR and the same thing happened they gave us the appointment for the 2nd dose at the same time as the 1st. it was the same for half of our neighborhood. The change of location to St Vincent's was on the front page of the paper. We didn't expect a call. Len & Mary
