Thumbs down Disaster waiting to happen

I can't count the times we have passed a golf cart going the other way and the guys knee is hanging out. This is very visible on the LSL bridge when going the other way although it exists in many situations. It is a disaster waiting to happen.

I'll bet the driver is driving like that for a multitude of reasons. Trying to look cool is probably not one of those reasons.

It happens all the time on the Historic Section Golf Cart Bridge. Seems like always at the last minute the knee hanger snatches in the offending knee at just the perfect time so no injury occurs.

Have there been any knee entanglements in the past? I don't recall any being reported on TOTV'S.

Thank you, OP. Your point is well taken but I wouldn't be too concerned.

It’s often called “manspreading”, and you’re right. Very dangerous.

Wow. Can’t believe I’m commenting about where legs are on the golf cart.

This forum has hit a new low.

It's extremely narrow there, I cringe when I have to go past there.

If I had a dollar for every cart driver's knee which has been struck by a passing cart in The Villages....oh wait, I'd be broke.

Agree with you 100%. Had a friend who was a golf course superintendent and was riding with foot hanging out and failed to see tree root. Foot caught root and he sustained complex fracture to his left ankle.

There was an incident on the bridge going to LSL around 10 days ago. Someone with "fat tires" and a pimped up golf cart was coming north, and a normal cart was going south. The guy with the extra-wide golf cart setup clipped the normal cart going the other way. I was in my car heading toward LSL at the time and saw right after impact when the guy in the pimped cart stopped and got out of the cart yelling at the guy in the normal cart.

It was VERY clear and evident that the pimped cart had no business being on that path, at all. It was wider than his lane. It also wouldn't have made it through any of the tunnels without scraping the ceiling and damaging the roof of his cart, because it had some kind of lift kit.

Stupid people are stupid.

This is scary, almost physically painful, but I have to agree with you

It's OK. She was just trying to communicate that she can be right as often as twice a day, well, on a good day anyhow.
