It is uncouth to say the least. It is the same level of classlessness as picking your nose or displaying your crack.

Trying to look cool IS the reason. Always thought this was a dangerous practice, more so hanging your foot or leg out, especially in the areas where carts (or other vehicles) pass tightly.

When the “mouse is out of it’s house” and “peeking out” right at one directly across from you it takes a lot of very active ignoring to NOT see it. Not pleasant.

We women have a morbid sense of humor. Some of us find the dangly bits to be giggle-worthy.

Yeah. This is a relaxed guy thing That some guys do unconsciously. What I don’t get is when people endanger your life by driving on the wrong side of the lane or street to avoid a parked car or obstruction and not thinking the car coming toward you would be twice the impact. We need to just stop till safe to pass.

Going around the circle by Morse Blvd. and El Camino Reale a man broke his foot hitting the dividing pole because his leg was hanging out. How much you want to make a bet he does not do that any more.

As men are lookers, so are women, some very sneaky, while others examine extensively.

Back to the original topic of this thread....most anyone under 6' tall has no problem keeping their knees inside the cart. I, however, am much taller than most and my left knee does hang out all the time. Saying that, I am well aware of how close I come to oncoming traffic on the cart paths, tunnels and especially the narrow bridges. I always stay as far over to the right as possible to avoid any possible accidents.
I worry more about those who are height challenged and have a wooden block so they can even reach the gas and brake peddles. The bottom line is, we're all different. Pay attention, be smart and stay safe.
