Default Dish tv

For those of you who have DISH, where is the satellite located?

Also, would we need ARC approval?

thank you

most times they want to put it on your roof... I had my dish in my back yard ... never asked for any type of approval ... if you are thinking of signing up I just ended their service and went to dircet tv because they are losing many stations... ABC has been off for about 6 weeks also the FL. sports stations are gone... no hbo cinemax and many other stations... the installer who just hooked me up with direct tv said his buddy does the dish hookups and heard they were going under

I have directv same process. The guy will check the b st spot for you , my last 3 houses in villages had direct , never asked it’s usually in back of house , I do see some ion ground, I don’t think I would ever put it there because of lawn guys . I heard that they can not turn you down , but it’s just one of those things no one cares about, if you walk or bike around you’ll see many things n back or side of roofs

I think they can't stop a dish from being installed due to federal law. A lot of dishes installed on the roof right above the utilities entrance to the house.

My dish is on a 5' pole on the ground near the A/C unit. Reception was always fine and the mowers never dislodged or bothered it.

I've since cancelled satellite but haven't gotten around to removing the dish. At least I don't need to patch the roof.

So those of you with DIRECTV, which is looking good right now, you have internet and landline with another company, correct?

We have an unused dish as we did not continue with Dish when we moved here and previous owner had it.

Satellite company has no interest in taking it away.

Read an article the other day that Direct TV is up for sale but not going under.

Federal law prohibits the restriction of satellite dishes for cable/TV reception. Still, a good idea to check with Community Standards before installing.

We left Comcast 5 years ago and went to Direct TV. After three years of price increases and the ever present loss of service during storms, we wised up and returned to Comcast. We love the service and love the TV coverage!
I would never consider going to satellite again.

We had Dish when we lived in Va and when moving here in February planned to continue their service here and had install date.

Two days before that date an outside sales rep from Xfinity knocks on our door selling their services.

Quickly realized that by bundling TV, internet and phone we would save over $ 50 per month compared to getting two packages and Xfinity offered choice of more stations than Dish.

So bye bye Dish and we have been happy with Xfinity.
