I apologize if this has been asked and answered before, but we will arrive on February 1st for a rental that includes a golf cart. We are excited about having the golf cart but we are concerned after reading recent post about serious injuries involving golf carts.

I contacted our insurance broker, we are out of state, and inquired whether or not our homeowners or car insurance gave us any protection against liability/property/collision damage on a golf cart in The Villages. So far the insurance broker is skeptical I have any coverage but they are still checking. Broker is also doubtful that there is any insurance he can write up for a golf cart out of state.

Is it possible to purchase locally in The Villages some sort of temporary insurance policy for short term renters that have a golf cart included for their use?
