This can be determined with an automobile odometer.

Check out googlemaps. It is a pretty neat site to get directions, set routes, etc.

See this link here for a map I quickly made. If you look close you see white dots along the route. Those force the route to go a certain way. You can drag them around to change route or remove them. Start and finish are marked by A and B. Those can be dragged around also.

Little tough to do when you are not currently in TV.

Thanks to the others for their suggestions as I tried MapSource that is a free PC based program that interfaces with my GPS. End result is a 6.7 miles.

Mapquest has a feature where you can trace a route and get the distance in miles, kms, yards, feet or whatever.
