After years of debris run-off from the roads, the base level of the soakaway near us is higher than that of the entrance pipe, resulting in standing water in the pipe even when the soakaway is dry.
I called Villages maintenance, who came to inspect and claimed that all is as it should be. However, with mosquito season approaching I do not relish the idea of a breeding place for them right next door. Who should I contact regarding this health issue? |

I called them - they came round and said it didn't need fixing. Yet in today's Daily Sun it advises getting rid of all standing water.

If nothing gets done, you could always float a very thin film of oil across the standing water, if it is not to large an area.
It kills the larvae stage of the breading cycle. Last edited by Two Bills; 02-21-2017 at 08:57 AM. Reason: spelling |

Thank you, Two Bills. Access is a problem, but if all else fails...
