Yes! Me! I am famous! The Rock!!! Or Ed The Rock! And don’t forget the most famous and respected person in The Villages:::/———————————————— -Irving Locker—————-
WW2 vet survived Normandy! 100 years old. Just came back from being invited by the French for the celebration. Been on the cover and articles written on the local Villages papers. He met a few Presidents and gave speaches! You don’t have to be a gazillionaire or professional this or that to be famous! This guy is one reason we are free to go to our beaches because he fought at the beaches at Normandy! |

Rumor has it that Benjamin Button lives in the Villages, but in a couple years he'll have to move out!

When I worked at a boys summer camp in the early 70s, I arrived early and went up to the nature building to start cleaning up. When I entered, the camp director was there with Jack Klugman and his son. Having no idea who he was, I smiled and shook his hand. Later, when I went down to dinner, everyone was talking about him being at camp. I am just thankful that I was clueless and didn’t make a fool of myself!

Bob Stinson and Pete Smith are former Major League ball players. But if you are a card collector, you would classify them as common players. I doubt any of the guys making 100 million dollars a year will be moving here.

The only one I know that lives there is Don “The Preacher” Fenneya pool player he I’m guessing is 94 yrs. old now. The only other on I know of that doesn’t live there but does have a home there is Nancy Lopez a retired womens pro golfer. I’m sure there others but I don’t know who they are.

I have heard that both Sal Monella and Rusty Ford have been seen occasionally. Not sure if they actually live here or just occasionally visit.

The guy with the red corvette at Sawgrass mentioned in another post evidently thought he was someone high and mighty.

So, the bottom line is that there are no really famous people that live here.
