Park rangers can often face dangerous situations from poachers and the like. I remember walking on a path in John Chestnut Sr. Park in Palm Harbor that had a path dedicated to a wildlife officer who had been shot in the line of duty. Peggy Park.

Always find that strange to have a path donated to a Park in a park.

Interesting sidelight. The chief spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife commission's name is ..........Gary Morse.

Supposedly, a Ranch Manager filed documents that he was revolted about Rainey's conduct. That Rainey refused to track an elk that he had mortally wounded, to prevent the elk suffering. If this is true, it sure isn't my idea of Sportsmanlike conduct.

I agree.

We can see some of this all around us.. Most of us older people had to work harder for less...and the younger ones don't take that harder path because we help them financially. Not all of them ignore the rules, but they really don't live the same reality we did.
