I'm already on my second home in TV. My gas dryer in my first home was much slower at drying than my electric in my second home. Both are LG.

We just bought in Moultrie Creek and the outlet definitely doesn’t look big enough for a dryer. I’m no expert. We ordered a new electric dryer to be delivered very soon, but maybe we should change the order to a ‘gas’ dryer so that it will fit. I’d like to avoid extra cost of having an electrician install the correct dryer outlet if it needs one.

I’ll ask my builder tomorrow about the dryer outlet to make sure, but wondering if other new buyers have had the same question.

Thanks in advance!

Gas dryers are more efficient than electric dryers. Your example is just anecdotal.

There are a few types of vent hose available. Most are junk. One specific one is best, and meets code. I learned that from Lake Sumter Dryer Vent Cleaning when they cleaned my vent. Their website has details and photos for reference. So if you are paying for new parts, I'd highly recommend getting the right ones.

Same, also in fenney. We used our dryer 220 for a EV charger. No need to let it sit there and do nothing.

This is an entirely different subject but……..the dryer vent pipe in the wall is oval and the dryer exhaust hose is flimsy round. Just try to fit the hose onto the vent, or try to find an “oval to round” transition that fits….

You can buy oval to round adapters on Amazon.

Default Gas Dryer is truly a game changer

I think a lot of people do the same, so how would a gas dryer be faster to dry?
I have Electric dryers at my 2 northern homes. I have never thought there was anything wrong with them. They do the job. It wasn't until we bought our home here that we first experienced gas dryer.

It's just significantly better. My clothing feel better. my sheets are softer and less wrinkled. My towels are fluffier. I don't know the science of why. It's just better.

It has spoiled me for when I am north and usimh my electric dryers.

If you buy a gas dryer buy a good one. California has a ban on gas appliances starting in 2030. Other States or a national ban may be coming too.

What Kind of Electrical Outlet Is Needed for a Dryer? - The Tibble Outlet is a 220. Is it possible that is set for Gas which only requires a standard outlet.

Just looked at some pictures of Villas in the Village and the houses look like they are set for a Gas stove and Dryer.

Who is the electrician? I can deal with the dryer its the GAS STOVE I hate!!!

Hmmm, I guess “they’re coming for our gas stoves” wasn’t a reactionary myth or conspiracy theory after all.
