There are ball washers placed at strategic places all over our courses for just that reason.

Just don't fall off one.

I think the ponds are full, so they are using pond water to water grass to lower levels of water. I think it is pond/ gray water smell

The lawn company told me it was fertilizer used on the golf courses. He said the type used on lawns is slow release nitrogen, and the stuff they use is a cheaper/coarser grade that releases nitrogen almost immediately, creating the odor. I didn't notice it until today, but the winds were up a bit and we smelled it over in Pinellas. Just repeating what "the man" told me.

Arnold Palmer told Johnny Carson his wife would kiss his balls for good luck before a tournament.

I will try to explain one more time that the smell is processed human waste. The Evans Prairie course was covered with the dark pellet size dried sludge. I assure it is very easy to tell the difference between pond water and dried sewer plant sludge.

But the most interesting part of that conversation was Johnny's response and Arnold's reaction to it.

Yes it was, but now thinking about it, it was his wife that said it to which Carson responded with a reference to his putter.

Johnny asked his wife if she did anything before a tournament to bring him good luck, and she said... well, never mind.
