Default What is "dozeor?"

There is an ad on page 63 of the current Recreation News for Let's Dance. They are having a Ballroom Dance on Oct.9th. We areinterested in attending. We love the waltz, rumba and cha cha but what is a/the dozeor?

That's the shortened name. The full name is Bull Dozeor. It's a group of dancers from the Village of Santiago that's sick and tired of line dancing. They interlock their arms forming a united front and they push the line-dances into the corner of the room. I've seen it. It's not pretty.

I agree, but the Hen Dozieor is more like a combination of the minuet and the hokey pokey..

Thanks for the information but it certainly doesn't sound very pleasant.

I sincerely doubt a ballroom dance class Would teach folks how to herd line dancers, so I'd go with Gracie's explanation.

He could be asking about the Do-si-do-dozieor. This is more of a square dance where the mid-west women of the Village of Boca Vista interlock their arms and without turning each dancer moves to the right passing pushing back the line dancers. It was successfully executed until one day in 2003 a group of mid-western line dancers from Sue Falls fell and sued the Village of Boca Vista. To this day those two groups don't talk to each other and have been known to steal each others reserved square chairs.

I heard there's a secret hand shake---but that may be just a myth.
