Default Replacing Over Range Microwave With Microwave/Convection Oven

If anyone has made this change, what brand did you use?

It depends on how much space you have. Best to measure and then shop what others have installed may not work for you. Our first house had lower cabinets the product I have in this house definitely wouldn’t fit

Also, if you decide to change brands check where the outside vent is located. I have helped a few neighbors, staying with the same brand the vent location appears to be fine, however change brands and the location can be off. The last one was almost an inch different, off center. We could not move the vent opening in the wall, so had to do some customization on the interface between the microwave and the wall vent. Also, the mounting holes vary between brands, so you will need new holes in the cabinets.

Things to be concerned with IMO, space from stove up to new mic/oven, mounting most likely new holes will have to be drilled along with back bracket (hate the paper templates). As far as template for drilling holes I had to make my own out of cardboard, the paper was so flimsy trying to hang it upside down I give up on it. If you have it installed won’t be your problems.
