Default What to feed my husband?

My husband has just had his 3rd heart attack. The doctor says he needs to loose weight, restrict salt intake, he is diabetic and is on blood thinners. He is also on fluid restriction. He will not eat pork or beef products. Would like to fix him a nutritious balanced diet but cant seem to find the right combination. Would like to find a dietician that would make out a simple balance nutritious menu for him. A menu that does not have a lot of uncomman spices or food. Know of any one who will make menus up for special diets?

Call the dietary department at TVRH. I bet they have a dietary education program that would be very helpful to you and your husband.

We bought a cookbook published by the American Heart Assoc. it is called "Diabetes and Heart Healthy Meals for Two." I don't remember if we got it at Barnes and Noble or online.
We also got a months worth of planned meals on a paper from the rehab center my husband was in. I'd be happ to share it with you if you pm me. I would have togive you a copy in person or mail it to you.

Has he met with a Certified Diabetes Educator? Surely they have one at TVRH that his endocrinologist would refer him to???
