Default Do you aerate your zoysia lawn?

A few neighbors are having their zoysia lawns aerated. I have read various opinions on the internet, most are written by someone trying to sell a product. I am asking if anyone can share their actual experiences from aerating their zoysia grass. Thanks.

We do.... Massey does it once a year, for us in July. It seems to help. We are very happy with our turf depth and lawn.

We just had ours done - I think he charged $50. It had gotten very thick and thatchy, and I've read that makes it more prone to disease.
