Default Dog Park South of 466A

I don't know how many of you are dog owners but if you are, have you wished there was a dog park south of 466A? Currently, the only worthwhile dog park in TV is way up in the Spanish Springs area. This is a good 20 minute ride by car and much more by golf cart.

In an effort to correct this I have attached the URL to a Community Improvement Council "suggestion form". Apparently this is the proper procedure for attempting to have improvements made in TV. If you would, please fill out the CIC form (link just below) requesting that space be allocated for a dog park south of 466A. Please note that Anonymous suggestions will NOT be reviewed and all submissions will be kept confidential by the Community Improvement Council.

Remember, you don't have to be a dog owner to submit a form. You can either fill the form out online or print a copy and drop it off at your mail station.

Thanks for any help you can provide in getting this done.

Every year The Villages does a survey and every year dog owners beg for a new park, but so far no go. Maybe the addition of Villagers south of 466A will bring about some action - one can always hope!

Space costs money, plus, the new space purchased has already been mapped out. The unfortunate truth is that not everyone would want a dog park next to their home. The developer's business is to sell homes. The dog park that exists for profit seems to be working. Hopefully they would want to buy land and build another one.

As anyone who knows me knows, I love dogs. I think that asking for a dog park is a nice idea, but I can see why it probably won't happen.
