Smile Dog Poop

A couple of times, including once yesterday, I saw someone at the postal station (behind the high school) with dogs not on a leash. The dogs seem to be well trained not to wander off. But they are naturally attracted to the grassy area off to the left of the postal station. While the owner is in back sorting through his mail (and taking his time) the dogs have plenty of time to do their business.

So the owner has "deniability". He can say he didn't pick up after the dogs because he didn't see them do anything. But they should be on a leash. It's against the rules to let them wander around without restraint.

I have seen other dog owners go into that grassy side area with their dogs on a leash and they stay with the dog(s). And they pick up the poop. They had better be careful where they step.

One other thing: I notice this guy goes to the postal station late in the day when there is hardly anyone there. I was the only one who pulled in while he was there with his dogs.

Well, that's the latest scoop on dog poop.

This has been a message from the dog-poop police.

Nothing. I'm not the type to be confrontational. I see that The Villages put little stickers on the garbage cans to notify dog owners not to put dog poop in the trash cans. Now they need to put up signs that dogs must be on a leash. It's The Villages job, not mine.

P.S. I don't have a dog, for those who might be wondering.

When one dog poop thread ends, someone starts another. It's the most boring over-discussed subject in the world. Posters have expressed their opinions over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

You've gotta be kidding. This is someone who has posted 700+ times and has never seen a dog poop thread?
I think we need a separate forum for dog poop complaints, like the old political forum

Yes, an opt-in forum for poop threads. And an opt-in forum for roundabout threads. While we're at it, let's have special forums for lawn ornaments, slow golfers, slow drivers, speeders, kids driving golf carts, old people driving golf carts, new construction advocates, re-sale advocates, people who think Havana & Bonifay have great food, people who think Havana & Bonifay suck, people who don't like the word "suck"...

...OR, folks can choose to read and comment on the threads they are interested in and ignore the rest. Scrolling through the topics is so easy that I've never felt the need to even read, much less comment on threads that I didn't care about.

I was kidding and I am pretty sure the others were too.

A dog poop thread is what we do here. And we do it well.
