If you have can you tell me the results or are these bad for dogs. I am trying to decide if I should move to TV or to an isolated place on earth to keep from upsetting others. There is a lot to like about TV.
I think most people like dogs, I think the actions of their owners is what upset's people no one likes their lawn being used as a toliet for some one else's pet. if you are a resposable pet owner you wil get along just fine. Treat people with respect and you will find this a great place to live

It's about respect for property, plants and trees that the dog owners do not own. If somebody insists that their dog(s) must use grass and bushes to pee/poop on, then they need to plant that in their own yard. Everybody here has their own yard!
I have a neighbor and they are ****ed, that when their nieghbor who lives next door and walks the dog on their property and the dog wanders off a few feet to my friends property and you know what happens. Dog owners YES WE SEE YOU! KEEP IT ON YOUR OWN PROPERTY!

You didn't/don't pay taxes on the strip. You only pay for your property. The owner of the street owns the strip.

So that makes it alright. Where do you live and all the dogs can poop and pee on your property since its not yours. Opps almost forgot within 10 to 15 feet.

When is the owner of the street, going to come mow, apply chemicals, and repair spots from dog pee, on this strip?

Default Who Owns An Easement

Cannot find any instance where the owner of the rest of the property does not retain ownership of the easement property as well. An easement and a right of way may be the determining difference here. Most roadways do have a right of way usually measured from the center of the roadway to each side. Streets may or may not have a small ROW. Many times utilities are forced to get a permit from the state to put in new facilities in the state owned right of way because the property owner will not grant them an easement across his/her property to place a new cable etc. State right of ways are owned by the state or county and that is why they have to be mowed and maintained by those entities.

Easements: Overview | Nolo.com

What is a utility easement

Easements & Rights of Way - SA.Gov.au

Affirmative and Negative easements:

An affirmative easement is the right to use another's property for a specific purpose, while a negative easement is the right to prevent another from performing an otherwise lawful activity on their property.

For example, an affirmative easement might allow land owner A to drive his cattle over the land of B. A has an affirmative easement from B.

Conversely, a negative easement might restrict B from blocking A's mountain view by putting up a wall of trees. A has a negative easement from B.

wrong...with our sfh we have provided a 5' [not 10' to 15' - that would be the entire front yard!] easement/right-of-way for the purpose of access to utilities. we are responsible to maintain and pay taxes on the entire lot. also provide same at the rear/sides of the house!

fr my deed restriction:
"3.1 Easements and rights-of way in favor of the Developer reserved for the construction, installation and maintenance of utilities such as electric light lines., drains, water supply lines, telephone and telegraph lines or the rights-of-way shall be confined to a 5 foot width along the rear and dividing lines of every building plot and along every street, road or highway fronting on said Lot."

You are preaching to the choir. This has been thoroughly discussed on TOTV time after time, year after year. All TOTV dog owners are on board with it. We're a respectful bunch!

It's obviously the non-TOTV members that are causing the problems.
