What's your favorite boat ride on St. John's River? I have seen an article on a nature tour in Astor near the Blackwater Inn Restaurant. Also the ride that leaves from the dock at Blue Springs State Park. And also the rides and tours at Crystal River, in fact the Manatee Festival will be going on there this weekend.

What other tours have you been on that you enjoyed within a 2 hour drive from The Villages?

Love to take my friends from "up north" on to see the real natural Florida!

I've done a wonderful AAA tour that begins at The Blackwater Inn in Astor, returns there and has lunch at the Inn. A coach ride from the Spanish Springs station. Great fun at a good price.

We had a native guide, amazingly knowledgeable about the area, including the delightful fact that the Astor-area folks refer to what Villagers call "Snowbirds" as "Half-Astors."

We have done the Blue Springs State tour several times and have never been disappointed. They also have large picnic area. Good take
