Amy Newsome is the best. On time, great designs and work, and best price.

Default Recommendation

I used Cliff Rider of Decorative Concrete of Central Florida (352-620-9561). He showed up when he said he would, did an excellent job including some little extras, and charged a fair price.

If I were to do it again today, I would go with the concrete coating instead of the painting (which we did and faded). Might cost a little more, but the quality is so much better.

I realize prices will vary based on the length and size of driveway, but could someone please share a ballpark figure of what the cost is for painting? We are looking at having something done to the driveway but don't know whether to go with painting, concrete coating, or pavers. Thanks in advance!

I second the recommendation of Amy Newsome. She does wonderful work! She did our lanai and also did work for several of our friends.

We had Amy Newsome do our lanai. Does great work! We had one driveway stained or painted when we first retired---it faded and got "marked up" in just four or five years even with a sealer put on as required. My advise----it's a driveway----use it as such and take the money and use it for something else on your bucket list.

DON'T DO IT !!!!!!! You will regret the stain or paint application unless it is epoxy only. The very best is the type of liquid concrete application that will last much longer and doesn't need a lot of cleaning. There are several companies using the same product but in my opinion the best for workmanship is FLORIDA DECK AND POOL. I have had both applications and if the liquid concrete costs a bit more it is well worth it. Take a drive in the Palo Alto or Santa Domingo areas to see examples of both the paint and liquid concrete.

Amy may be the best driveway painter in the world but the fact is, what she applies is just that, paint or stain. I don't think
the orginal poster was asking who was the best at painting driveways but actually was asking about the various products available. In my opinion they should be rated as follows;
The best, 2 inch pavers, these are definately the most expensive.
Second, liquid concrete, this is probably the third most expensive
bur lasts a long time.
Third, 1 inch pavers, these are not bad but tend to crack and break with
time . probably second in cost.
Fourth, paint or stain. This will look great for several years but in some
instances fade and peel in just a few years. This
will be the least expensive of the four applications
