Default Down-sizing question....

Can anyone tell me if Thrift Stores will take exercise equipment? We have basic (small) exercise bike we bought from Walmart, online and would like to get rid of it. If we don't have to---don't feel like posting on a buy or sell site but would give it away if someone can use it. It was purchased for me but recently I've developed some mobility issues and trying to straddle to get on the thing is difficult. Instead of this, we've purchased a peddler thing where you sit on a chair and peddle. It's good for circulation etc., so at least I'm getting something of benefit. As for the bike...if someone here wants it....private message me and we'll see what arrangements can be made. Otherwise I'll make other arrangements.

I think it would be a hot item for sale at a thrift store.

craigslist has a "free" category. you'll get 20 emails the first day if the other options don't pan out.

I have no affiliation but we have given stuff to the Baptist Thrift Store off Citizen's Blvd.
They do deliver large items with their truck so I assume they would pick up your item on a trip to the villages.

There is a “Play it Again “ store in Leesburg if you want to get a few dollars for it without advertising it. Just call them first before you lug it down there 352-343-5995

Default Your best bet is to call.

I volunteer at a thrift. Because of limited space the answer is sometimes yes sometimes no.
A call ahead of time is always appreciated! We hate turning away a great donation and hate that you took the time to bring it when we do that.
I hope you find a place that can rehome your gift to them!

I'm not a church goer and just yesterday I got a strange call from St. Vincent de Paul asking if I had furniture to donate and if so, they would pick it up.
I don't even know how they got my number maybe it's god's hand if you believe in that stuff.
Give them a call, they were pleasant enough.

I would be willing to take this exercise bike off your hands and live in The Villages.
