I was at the dentist Thursday and he expressed concern that I would be alone during Irma. He then proceeded to invite me and my dogs to stay with him and his wife through the storm. | was gobsmacked. This is a good man.

Wow! That man is a good soul.

A friend of mine received a call from a friend of friends who live in Port Charlotte, asking if they could stay with her because there were no places left to book for getting out of southwest Florida.

She had never met any of these people but knew the friend that was trying to make the arrangements.
She thought it was a husband and wife. Big surprise.
They arrived yesterday . . .
Husband and wife, 30 year-old son of theirs and brother of the husband. The plus is three dogs!

They came prepared -- sleeping bags, blankets & pillows, food, etc.
So far -- one day later, it's all working out okay or as best as can be expected.

She has really gone the extra mile.
Anyone who can't help someone out in this time of need, isn't worth their salt.

We are fine. Miles away, thankfully, but hope our house remains in one piece.
