Default Yes, about double the cost.

I had this quoted in May by M&S with both ceiling cassette and wall mount in the lanai, and wall mount in the garage. It was around 8K for the lanai, or 16K to do both (wall mount). Substitute a ceiling mount in the lanai and it was about 2K more.

We went with wall mount in the lanai only and didn't do the garage. We ended up going with Munn's who was slighty cheaper but didn't get the garage quoted by them.

By the way, Munn's was up front with us about an expensive service required for ceiling cassettes. Apparently the blower wheel needs to be cleaned every 18 months or so and they said it would run about $900. I guess they have to get into the attic and disassemble the unit to do the service. As a result of this we decided against the ceiling unit.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience and decision making process. I have been debating the ceiling cassette or wall mount but I was not aware of the maintenance that you mentioned. I really appreciate you sharing that and I think a wall mount is definitely in our future. I am originally from Leesburg and I worked for Munn's many years ago and I know the family and I trust them. When you said that they were upfront about the required maintenance and cost I thought, that is the integrity of the Munn family. Thanks so much.
