My suspect is the interior paint. Flat paint sprayed on drywall.

Anyone notice a change after repainting??

We just had Munn’s clean our ducts. Professional and detailed process. They also discovered that the duct work from clothes dryer had not been connected properly to the roof vent. Highly recommend.

Default Dust

If you're not use to air conditioning you probably don't realize the air in your home is dehumidified hence drying the air and causing the dust particles . Try raising the dehumidifier or have your a/c company do it. Many of the newer thermostats allow you to control the humidity. Hope this helps.

Default Construction dust

There is a surprising amount of dust if you are within a couple miles of new construction.

When it don’t rain it’s drys out and fine dust get pulled up in air when wind blows, compounded by sandy soil and fine dirt. Now if you have any windows open when cool in mornings or open storm doors, come in and out a lot, leave garage door open, all that compounds dust problem which is already problem anyway. Yes, there are ways to reduce dust some, but it will never go away.

I’ve go tile floors and don’t like it. Hard on feet, noisy, and slick if any moisture on tile. I brought big rugs to cover it up. IMO complete waste of money to tile floor. Now some spot tiled not bad, just don’t get the slick tile IMO.

My home too. It is cleaned regularly and still have it. We moved up from Miami and did not have the same amount of dust. I have just learned to live with it.

Yes, this is the dustiest place I have ever lived. Got all my whole house vents cleaned. Helped tremendously. Also upgraded my filter to a MERV 13 rating. There is still dust but doesn’t accumulate as fast.

Use Dawn dishwashing liquid for that breed of ducks and your dust problem might be lessened!!

There will be plenty that disagree with this, I am sure. No comment if it is worth the price paid for dust removal, but is worth it for spouse happiness.
I do not do marriage counseling. Wisdom from my dad, if you think you understand your wife, you are wrong. If, you are right, it will shortly change so that you are wrong.

Enjoy it, learn not to see it. Fortunately your hearing goes as you get older.

One thing I never knew about FL was the frequent wind. That wind spreads a lot of dust inside even as you open & close doors.
