I noticed a new COVID testing site in the parking lot of the library on Parr Drive at Belvedere.
The signs and tents look a lot like a high school fundraising cookie sale. Has anyone stopped by there? Is it legit? What type of tests? Are they the type of tests that can be used to verify negative status for travel? With some of the big testing sites closed down it’s nice to see another option pop up. |

The site is legit. We were tested there and told it would be 24-48 hours for results. Unfortunately we waited from Friday to the following Wed. but it was worth it.

Thanks! So not good for pre-cruise testing or travel testing, but it works to test if you have COVID or a cold.

I freely admit I am confused by medical tests. Your xyz is 37.2. Were they to repeat the test would they get the same result? I expect in most cases the answer is NO. Once you have two different answers to the same question, which is right? Is either result right?
Bills for tests. I just had a test the lab charges 149 for the test. Medicare pays the full bill, no copay, while I do have supplemental coverage they do not charge anything to them. Medicare paid 18.50 covering the entire bill. WE TRUST THIS SYSTEM WITH OUR LIFE, OUR HEALTH-HUH. |

We retired at like 63. A quote for private health insurance, they would not sell us a catastrophic policy due to pre-existing condition. Cost was 22,000 for two of us and that had to come from savings. I said to my wife our bills have never been that high, let's self insure. Without insurance but the ability and expectation that you will pay, you are charged those grossly inflated charges. I spent a week in the villages hospital the bill was 50,000. Fortunately my wife won the debate. The insurance company settled the bill IN FULL for like 20,000. My point-the cards are stacked against you. I would love to have someone in the field explain why this is reality and try to justify it. |
