Default Rogue garage doors

This happened in our villa home, garage door would open by itself when we were at home.

But what about a TV that sometimes goes on without anyone in the room or near a remote? What could cause that!

The garage door openers that come standard with a Villages home have a limited number of combinations for their remote frequencies. It’s possible that one of your neighbor’s have the same frequency for their garage door, and are accidentally opening your garage. There is a way to change the frequencies. Perhaps someone else know how you would do that.

Listen to Charmed 59 He's right about the garage door. My DirecTV box was turning my TV on in the middle of the night. I reset the box and fixed the problem.

Although my TV is controlled by an infrared remote controller, I have found that occasional high pitched noises will turn it on.

I used to have an old office swivel chair in the room with the TV. When I swiveled the chair it would sometimes squeak, and the TV would turn on.

In your case perhaps it is the occasional chirp of a smoke detector, or even the sound of a truck's brakes squeaking outside that triggers the TV.

And, then.......there's always Poltergeists.

That happened to us too. I called a garage repair guy and got it fixed. (One of the neighbors apparently had the same connection because when he opened his garage door via his remote, mine would open too. So apparently this is a common problem). Strangely enough, I also had the same TV problem where the TV would just pop on for no reason. Scary when it happens in the middle of the night. So I ended up just unplugging it. Never figured out what caused it---and have since moved.

We had the same problem. Went to RoMax off Rolling Acres Rd, the lady there explain it very quickly and simply.
First, you have to take all the old codes out of the unit, then reprogram with your codes, that fixed the problem right away!
They are very helpful about this matter!!

If you are under an airline traffic pattern, and they are using the radio, that could cause it. At smaller airports at night, if a pilot is landing, he can give 3 or 4 clicks on his microphone to turn on the runway lights.

I could open and close my neighbors by just unlocking/locking my honda with my key fab.
