Default Ethnic Grocery Stores?

I'm looking for an Asian grocery store and for a Latin American grocery store. There are some things you apparently can't get at Publix, Sweetbay, or Fresh Market.

I was a GI, and so I lived in a lot of places and acquired tastes for a variety of different foods that are proving difficult to find locally here in TV. I've driven around and, thus far, haven't had much luck.

Can anyone help me out here? Please?

They have Dijon mustard at Publix. I think that's French.

Cool

We lived in Japan for a while and have found some of our favorite foods/ingredients at this store in Ocala.

Asia Foods
3128 Southwest 27th Avenue,
Ocala, FL 34474
(352) 854-1166 ‎

It's pretty close to the Paddock Mall. If you find another oriental food store, please post it's location.

I hear there are two such stores across the road from each other on Colonial Drive in Orlando. I'll try to get an exact location for you from a friend who told me about them.

This is great to know! I love cooking ethnic foods and was recently in Fort Lauderdale and found a great Asian market. But, I'm not willing to travel THAT far!! Thanks for the above stores!!

Smile Favorite Hispanic Store

My favorite Hispanic grocery store is Mercado Pueblo located at 1250 SE HWY 484 (just east of 75 on the way to Ocala). phone is 352 307-3458. Huge variety of packaged goods, fresh veggies and a large ready to go prepared food counter. Well worth the trip. They even cater.

I'd like to add to the Asian & Latino catagory Italian grocery stores. We'd love to find, within a reasonable distance a store like an Italian Importing Food store especially like this one we had available back home... Roma Foods Importing

Thanks! I saw that list shortly before posting my message and the closest I found anything that might be close to what I was looking for was near Sanford - probably about 45 minutes away.

I also have occasional cravings for foods and spices not available locally. I've found that you can get just about anything from amazon.com.
