Default I have two VLS agents - is this bad?

I am looking at new homes in TV. I reached out to a sales agent who has been helping me check out some houses. Then I went to the Street of Dreams and met another dynamic sales agent. Now they are both wanting to sell me a new home in a new section. Is it wrong to have two agents try to get you a home? I know these homes go so fast, part of me thinks that having two tries to get a new release migh be better than one - but then, I don't want to break any rules. What would you recommend in this situation?

How would you feel if you were the original agent who was helping you?
At least tell that agent you are dropping them.

PS. They are both selling the same inventory.

I think that you know the answer, since you are asking the question. It doesn't seem right, does it.

Life is tough in the world of competition! Tell the first rep you are changing to one you are more comfortable with and in your opinion will better help you. YOU are the ONE spending YOUR OWN more than $400,000 so work with someone who apparently has better identified and presented ideas to meet YOUR housing wants. Reward the rep who meets your own objectives. Who knows, maybe the rejected representative might even learn better sales skills from the experience.

The developer has over 300 reps peddling houses. In my estimation less than 30% are probably worth their salt and worry more about their customers' wants than their eventual commission. This is even more true when buying an existing home.

As far as the Developer is concerned, it wins no matter who convinced you to buy the home.

Pick one, the second guy probably should have asked if you are working with someone.

Not good to change horses in the middle of the stream.

did you sign a buyers contract with the first guy??? and if you didn't , ask the 2nd guy if he will work for 1%.... see what happens. i just cant see paying 3% to a buyers agent, thats like 3k on a 500k house .give me a list of selling house and phone numbers and ill call and make my apointments for 3k. good luck.

The way the new home “lottery” system works your info can only be entered into the system once, so eventually one or the other agent will find out you’re already working with someone. You need to choose just one of them, which is the right thing to do anyway even if there wasn’t a lottery with brand new homes.

None of this applies to buying a brand new home with a Villages agent. It’s a totally different system than resale. Only one Villages agent can work with a new home buyer, and their commission is paid by The Villages.

It's clients like you that made my wife happy she is retired from real estate. Bottom line, no loyalty and you think deep down you'll get a better price if you have competing agents.

I’d go for a third, right before you sign. Why not!
