Just had yearly maintenance done and the first time I used my system after the maintenance, a gusher came out of one of the sprinkler heads. I called and when they came back, they wanted another $18 to fix it. I just spent $65 for the maintenance.

The man doing the work was very rude both times and even wanted to replace a sprinkler (they had installed ) because it wasn’t the right kind to water the area. Do not trust them to be honest and do good work. This is the first negative review I have left for a company servicing The Villages, but I don’t want anyone else to have the same experience.

What did they do for the annual maintenance? If all they did was to check and adjust the sprinkler flow, then it is not worth having someone come out at all. You should be able to do that yourself. If you are going to hire someone for regular maintenance, it should be more often than yearly, and they should include small repairs and a reasonable price for larger repairs. Massey will provide quarterly maintenance and is always available for underground leak repairs. They are expensive, but at least they are available when needed. Overall, if you don't have a specific agreement with the company, the price they charged does not sound unreasonable.
