Explore St. Tropez Recreation Center: On the Horizon - The Villages

We’re excited to give you a sneak preview into our newest Recreation Center, St. Tropez! Inspired by the stunning beaches and colorful umbrellas of Saint-Tropez, France, this recreation center promises to bring a splash of Mediterranean charm right outside your doorstep. Located near the Live Oak and Laurel Oak Golf Courses and The Village of Well Point, St. Tropez will be your new go-to spot for fun, fitness, and friendship.

A Unique Experience Awaits

What makes St. Tropez stand
out? It’s all in the details. From sandy-hued flooring that mimics the beach to a glass chandelier that resembles a shimmering oyster or pearl, every aspect of this center is designed to transport you to a seaside paradise. The carefully curated artwork, inspired by the most famous beach in the world, adds a touch of elegance, making every visit feel like a mini vacation.

Design Inspirations

Every year, the design team embarks on a journey to find the perfect pieces to bring each recreation center to life. For St. Tropez, the inspiration struck when they stumbled upon breathtaking artwork during a market visit. These chance encounters, like discovering dog-themed tiles or vintage chairs, often set the tone for the entire project. The team’s passion for history and world cultures shines through in every design, making each center a unique blend of beauty and function.

Sneak Peek at What’s Next

As the finishing touches are being put on St. Tropez, we’re already looking ahead to the next exciting project: Blanchard Recreation Center. Inspired by Jean-Pierre Blanchard, a French pioneer who was the first person to lift a hot air balloon off the ground, this center will soar to new heights with its whimsical balloon theme. Get ready to be swept away by the fun and creativity that this future addition will bring to The Villages.

Join the Fun

Designing recreation centers like St. Tropez and Blanchard is a passion for the design team. The thrill of seeing Villagers coming through the doors, ready to enjoy all the amenities, is unmatched. Whether it’s swimming, playing games, or simply spending time with friends, these centers are designed with you in mind.

The rec center is going up next to a golf course even though there have been no home sales there. Same thing with Saluki. Maybe now the myth of 'they no longer build the amenities first' will end with this picture.

I don't think they mentioned in the video there is a pond with a floating dock for radio control boat enthusiast.

Shopping and food are not amenities. Businesses will not build where potential customers don’t exist yet.

Problem is some posters seem to be confused that Amenities include Shopping, restaurants. One has to keep pointing out Mailboxes, pools, and centers are built as Amenities.

Watched this video yesterday. Super cool! Love the themed rec centers. These two will open in 2025, which will be here before we can blink twice, lol. The one at WellPoint won’t be far from us.
