Default Warming zone on stove usage

Most of us have the same stoves. Does anyone use the warming zone circle on the stove top? What do you use it for?

I hate the stove itself, but I do use the warming zone. Most of the time I use it to keep mashed potatoes warm while I finish the rest of the meal.

I find the burners retain enough heat they all act as a warming zone. I leave the food on the range while we have salad ~ always hot.
